Track Premiere: Vitriol – ‘The Parting of a Neck’

Vitriol first appeared on the Decibel site last year, when they released the digital version of their EP, Pain Will Define Their Death. Though it was only three tracks long, it cemented Vitriol to me as a must-watch death metal band. It was a pleasant surprise, then, when Everlasting Spew announced that they would release Pain Will Define Their Death in physical format that would include an additional song. So, today Vitriol are back on the Decibel site to debut “The Parting of a Neck,” which is said bonus track.

The track matches the speed and intensity of the original three songs, with angular, ferocious riffs and a—ahem—vitriolic vocal performance that exceeds that of Vitriol’s peers. If you missed Pain Will Define Their Death the first time, don’t miss it the second time. Everlasting Spew will release the limited physical copies and merch on November 30. Pain Will Define Their Death is also streaming here, since it was already released.
