Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philadelphia

In an effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Philadelphia has announced a city-wide ban on gatherings in excess of 1,000 people, which unfortunately means we have been forced to postpone Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly on April 3-4 at the Fillmore. Though it pains us to see so many plans disrupted as a result, we must remain committed to ensuring the safety of the bands, the breweries, the staff and, of course, the fans during this time. We will share the rescheduled festival date information as soon as we have it. Purchased tickets will be honored. Thank you for your understanding and support. More soon.

The grains that bind us will be present on Friday and Saturday, April 3-4, 2020, when Decibel brings the loudest, heaviest, two-day craft beer festival in the world back to The Fillmore Philadelphia for a fourth round!

Extreme metal legends Napalm Death will perform a special one-time-only set of exclusively Harmony Corruption and Utopia Banished songs, while Converge will play their metallic hardcore landmark album Jane Doe in its entirely for their first time ever in North America. If that wasn’t enough, grinding heroes Pig Destroyer will help presenting sponsors Relapse Records celebrate their 30th anniversary with the first-ever performance of PxDx’s game-changing Prowler in the Yard record!

This also marks the Metal & Beer Fest return of Norwegian black metal godfathers Mayhem, with first-time appearances from Norwegian black metal icon Abbath, New Wave of British Heavy Metal heroes Satan, blackened old-school miscreants Midnight, Arizona desert death dealers Gatecreeper and rising California death crew Necrot, heavy metal revivalists Night Demon, goth-infused metal upstarts Idle Hands, quickly rising old-schoolers Haunt, New England doom lords Magic Circle and Seattle funeral doom crushers Un, who round out the lineup.

Of course, this is a metal and beer festival and we’ve got the weekend’s other vital component totally covered via the world’s most metal breweries! The beer lineup is again presented by our friends at Broken Goblet (PA) with an appearance from featured breweries Wake (IL), Brimming Horn Meadery (DE), and Lionshead (PA)!

Three Floyds (IN), Hammerheart (MN), Tired Hands (PA), Adroit Theory (VA), Blake’s Hard Cider (MI), Burial Beer Co. (NC), Oliver Brewing Co. (MD), Yards (PA), Goldhorn Brewery (OH), Attic Brewing (PA), Hoof Hearted Brewing (OH), Nightmare Brewing Company (NY), Cosmic Eye Brewing (NE), Zeroday Brewing Company (PA) and Soundgrowler Brewing Co. (IL) will also join us in Philly, dispensing the nation’s most brutal brews!

All ticket options (including a “Metal & Beer” ticket option strictly limited to 700 tickets each day (and are now under 30 left), which gives attendees access to pours from all of the breweries, as well as admittance to that day’s show) are ON SALE NOW! Tickets and daily line-ups are below.
