We Sell the Dead certainly fit the bill for a supergroup, counting among their ranks current and former members of In Flames, HIM, Spiritual Beggars, Firewind and more, but their sound veers in a direction unlike the aforementioned bands. “Pale and Perfect,” the new song from We Sell the Dead, is a soulful heavy metal track, one that showcases the impressive voice of Apollo Papathanasio (Spiritual Beggars, Firewind).
“With ‘Pale And Perfect,’ Jonas and I wanted to write something that was massively heavy, with Sabbath-esque riffage, but at the same time, equipped with a singalong AOR,” says Niclas Engelin. “Almost a pop-like chorus. I think we pulled it of nicely! I really love how we all sing and play on this one. It´s like we been a band for 10 years or something. Add to the mix Dan´s otherworldly evil spirit video, and you got something that´s equally beautiful and disturbing!”
“Pale and Perfect” comes from We Sell the Dead‘s upcoming debut, Heaven Doesn’t Want You and Hell is Full, which you can pre-order here.
