Rongeur‘s debut album is titled An Asphyxiating Embrace, which is incredibly fitting considering the weight with which these sludgemongers strike. Slow, heavy and atmospheric, “Weltschmerz” takes its cues from groups like Neurosis, wading through heavy, murky territory, yet it has its own sound. The Norwegian outfit have found a sound that is familiar, yet unique.
