Death metal enthusiasts of a certain younger age who aren’t in harsh denial about the fact that they didn’t come out of of the womb listening to Symphonies of Sickness probably remember Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein. Following their 2005 breakout second album, Discovering the Waterfront, the band found themselves as a staple of the scene, celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2020 with their 10th album, A Beautiful Place to Drown.
Silverstein’s 11th album, Misery Me, was released this May and they’ve hit the road in support of it. They’ll co-headline the Fillmore Philadelphia—home of Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest—with Australian metalcore act The Amity Affliction, who are supporting their 2021 EP, Somewhere Beyond the Blue, on September 25. Holding Absence and UnityTX round out the bill.
Decibel has partnered with the Fillmore to give away a pretty sick package: four tickets to see the show, plus a tour tee and VIP poster signed by both headliners. To enter, just hit us up at [email protected] and tell us which band you’re most stoked to see. Because of the short turnaround, please include your phone number in the email so we can contact you.
If the odds aren’t in your favor, you can just buy tickets for the show.
