Track Premiere: Jack Endino – “Shadow World”

Depending how deep you’ve immersed yourself into the Seattle rock world, you may know Jack Endino as the founding guitarist of Skin Yard, the guy who recorded all the seminal Sub Pop releases (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, etc.), or Bruce Dickinson’s producer. He’s all those things, and much more, as evidenced by the hundreds of records he’s recorded/produced by bands around the world, as well as the arrival of his latest solo album (his fourth), Set Myself on Fire on Capacitor Records.

Though Endino has also played drums and bass in numerous other outfits over the years, he’s assisted on some of the tracks on Set Myself on Fire by a cast of Seattle legends, including drummers Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Skin Yard, Mad Season) and Josh Sinder (Tad, the Accüsed, Gruntruck), bassists Alex Sibbald (The Accüsed, Gruntruck) and Rob Skinner (Coffin Break) and guitarist Chris Johnsen of Zeke, who is featured here on “Shadow World.”

The album will be released on December 10, and you can pre-order it here.
