Track Premiere: BLK OPS – “Host”

It’s been a moment since we last heard from Austin, TX noise mongers BLK OPS. Four years, to be precise, since they teamed up with Cave Bastard for a split album on Accident Prone Records. The founding combo of ex-Kill the Client vocalist Champ Morgan and ex-the Dead See guitarist Mark Key are back with a brand new full-length (aided by drummer Peter Murray), The Heroic Dose, on Roman Numeral Records, which will be released on December 3.

To get you in the giving mood for the holiday season release, BLK OPS have offered up a preview of their 11-track debut, a sludgeoning noise grinder called “Host,” which Morgan had this to say about:

“‘Host’ is a song about devotion hidden in the words of a symbiotic parasitic existence, that blind devotion to a person, political party, religion, or anything really that you sacrifice your life and your free will too. It will use you and then destroy you. You never see it coming, you let it in, you give everything to the lie, and it leaves the hull behind.”
