Dodenbezweerder is one of the latest projects to be revealed by prolific Dutch black metal/noise artist Mories. He is joined by a drummer known only as S. Together they fill your speakers, room and head space with an evil and tormented black metal so thick, so atmospheric it lays around you like a dense fog, soiling the air.
After releasing several rehearsals and a self-released demo tape last year, Dodenbezweerder’s debut full length, Vrees de toorn van de wezens verscholen achter majestueuze vleugels, will come out March 27 on 12” vinyl from Iron Bonehead.
According to Mories, “these tracks [were] summoned in a miserable negative trance,” additionally “all tracks [were] improvised and recorded on the spot. [N]o overdubs except for vocals. All sounds are guitar and drums, no synths!”
