Prolific noise rockers Child Bite are ready for when Split Hits the Fans and their collaboration with Ringworm sees the light of day. Though there’s still a little less than two weeks to go before the release of Split Hits the Fans V, Decibel has acquired a stream of “The Masochist,” Child Bite’s third song on the 7-inch record.
“Us Child Bite guys jumped at the chance to do a split with Ringworm,” vocalist Shawn Knight tells Decibel. “Figured we better do it quick before Human Furnace comes to his senses and pulls the plug. So Jeremy [Waun], [Sean] Clancy & I each took on the task of individually writing a quick shorty. Jeremy wrote the music for ‘The Fool,’ I came up with ‘The Creeper,’ and Clancy concocted the song you’re listening to now, ‘The Masochist.’ It has a natural rolling feel to it, but I remember the wonky time signatures took a minute to wrangle. Looking forward to finally playing all three of these live for the first time next month!”
