Decibel shared Subtype Zero‘s album The Astral Awakening when it was released in August; today, the band follow that up with their new video for “Blinded by Light,” the lead track on The Astral Awakening. Comprised mainly of well-shot performance footage with a deeper narrative within, the video for “Blinded by Light” captures the best things about Subtype Zero, namely their love for high-energy ’80s-style thrash.
“The song ‘Blinded by Light’ expresses a general point of view of someone who has a growing urge to commit suicide,” Subtype Zero tell Decibel. “The ‘Light’ is the last thing he sees. The video portrays the songs expression through that of a drug addict whose lost control of his life and wants to make it all ‘go away.'”
