Long-running Czech black metal entity Solfernus released their second album (and first in twelve years), Neoantichrist, last October. Though the album seemed to land quietly with little fanfare, Solfernus were undeterred and prepared a music video for the album’s third song, “Mistresserpent.” Combining performance footage with video depicting a trio of women surrounding vocalist Khaablus, who wields a very-metal microphone, the video is indulgent with a high-production value.
Musically, “Mistresserpent” dwells in melodic, mid-tempo black metal that focuses heavily on vocals and atmosphere. Check out the video below and hear more of Neoantichrist on Satanath Records’ Bandcamp.
