Most are likely more familiar with Owl‘s sole member, Christian Kolf, as the guitarist/vocalist of progressive death/doom outfit Valborg. His solo project, Owl, also exists in a death/doom framework with sprinklings of ambient music within.
Orion Fenix, the latest EP from Owl, is one gargantuan song that clocks in at 22 minutes. It repeatedly flows from mellow to aggressive, not relying on the same parts played over and over into oblivion.
Zeitgeister Music will release Orion Fenix on March 23.
