Broken Goblet Announce Beers for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest

Decibel has given a few nods to our bloody Pennsylvania roots since the inception of Decibel Metal & Beer Fest—the festival is hosted at the Fillmore Philadelphia and this year’s featured breweries (Stoudts, Weyerbacher and Yards) all hail from Pennsylvania, and we’re happy to have Pennsylvania’s Broken Goblet at the festival as well.

The Bristol-based beerheads are as excited to be at the Fillmore on March 31 and April 1 as we are to have them there.

“The first time I saw an announcement for the Decibel Metal and Beer Fest, I recall saying to whoever would listen to me, ‘how can they have a metal and beer fest and not have us?!?’” says owner Mike LaCouture. “So, it makes me almost giddy to be a part of this in 2018 and hopefully beyond. Broken Goblet is all about music–you might hear someone singing Simon and Garfunkel on the stage, and walk in the brewery to hear Whitechapel blaring away. As musicians in metal bands, now owners of a brewery, we cannot think of a better fit. Horns up!”

Bubba’s T-Bag
That fermenter of beer is just sitting there, unaware of what’s about to happen, you sneak up, get above it, and boom – you drop in that Teavana Strawberry Grapefruit Xue Long Green Tea, creating a unique and complex flavor and bouquet, with bold grapefruit fruit flavors and notes of sweet strawberries, apples, and lemongrass. While your mind is squarely in the gutter, your mouth should be ordering another – hey barkeep….. tea bag me!

Gyroscopes and Infrared (7.4% ABV)
West coast-inspired IPA, bursting with flavor and aroma from 5 different hops (Nugget, Citra, Cascade, Falconer, Azacca). Our visitors told us to write the recipe down almost 2 years ago, but we forgot our pens.

Metal & Beer Fest FAQs

What are my ticket options?
You can purchase a one- or two-day “Metal & Beer Ticket,” which allows you to watch all bands performing. It also gives you access to samples from all 20 breweries who will be at Decibel Metal and Beer Fest, as well as access to all breweries and bars plus a Decibel Metal and Beer Fest tasting cup.

You may also purchase a one- or two- day “Just Metal” ticket (limited to 500 each day) that grants you access to all four bars on the first floor, as well as the ability to see each band playing. You will also have the opportunity to purchase samples of featured breweries from the bar.

How much does it cost?
“Metal & Beer” tickets are $80 for one day and $150 for both.

“Just Metal” tickets are $42 for one day and $82 for both.

If you bought four craft beers at the fest, you would be spending more than $40. The “Metal and Beer Ticket” pays for itself and then some!

Are the breweries in an area separate from the bands?
No, Decibel Metal & Beer Fest is a fully integrated fan experience. You can walk over to the Oliver Brewing table, sample a “Howling, For the Nightmare Shall Consume” beer, co-brewed by Integrity and consume it WHILE you watch Integrity!
