Track Premiere: Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats – ‘Dead Eyes of Londom’ (Remixed & Remastered)

When Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats released Volume 1, they were an unknown band releasing their first record exactly 40 years after Black Sabbath forever changed the metallic musical landscape with their first record. The album was recorded in DIY fashion with next-to-no budget and never saw an official re-release until now.

The album has finally been remastered, to see release on Rise Above Records on October 13.

“It was a D.I.Y project from the beginning so I wasn’t going to give it up and let someone else mess with it,” bandleader Kevin Starrs says. “I also wasn’t going to cash in on something for the sake of it. I wanted it to sound the best that it possibly could. The record deserves my full attention, so with no new album to distract anyone in 2017, it was the perfect time to work on it and release it on CD and Vinyl. It can stand on its own…flaws included.”
