New York heavy metal band Sanhedrin (among their ranks, current and former members of Black Anvil, Vermefüg, Lost Goat and others) wouldn’t be out of place next to Judas Priest and Iron Maiden in your record collection. Led by guitarist Jeremy Sosville and soaring vocalist Erica Stoltz, Sanhedrin’s debut album, A Funeral for the World feels familiar but fresh.
“The track is the album closer and does a good job of capturing the dynamic package of the record as a whole,” Sosville says. “The album is a mix of classic heavy metal and hard rock sounds with a fresh perspective and timely lyrics about the world we find ourselves in these days. We want to capture the spirit of our musical heroes while offering our own perspective musically and lyrically. The album is being self-released by the band.”
You can grab a pre-order for A Funeral For the World on Bandcamp before its release on September 8. Listen to closer “Die Trying” now.
