Maltese death metal outfit Beheaded have returned with no shortage of brutality with the title track to their forthcoming LP, Beast Incarnate.
The band says they aimed to merge the old school sounds of Beheaded’s early work with the more technical sounds they employed later in their career. There is a combination of forceful explosive death metal madness with melodic leads and rapid tremolo picking.
The song comes with an accompanying music video which Beheaded says is just as important to the album.
“When music is enriched with literature, imagery, colours and visuals that reflect its essence it is able to deliver a deeper, more profound immersive visual and aural experience,” the band says. “That is precisely what the video for the album title track ‘Beast Incarnate’ does. Using all these elements we have worked very closely with Very Metal Art in graphically creating and capturing the character and lifeblood of Beast Incarnate. The music video comes to outline the attributes of Mediterranean death metal – hard hitting and drilling in the psyche.”
Unique Leader will release Beast Incarnate on January 27.
