Freshly minted thrashers Return Fire will self-release their nine-track debut on September 27. And anyone looking for an adrenaline blast needn’t poison him- or herself with whatever garbage they pump into energy drinks, but rather this face-ripper that expands on the bludgeoning template of Slayer’s oft-overlooked Divine Intervention. But it’s not just Decibel who are pumped on Return Fire – take it from the band’s drummer Joe Nunez.
“We are very excited to present the first single “Product of Abuse” from our debut self titled album,” drummer Nunez tells Decibel. The song and lyrics are influenced by finding the strength within ourselves to overcome and overwhelm abuse in every way. This is one of our absolute favorite tracks on the record and we look forward to bringing them all to you live with soon to be announced shows in 2020!”
There’s currently no pre-order available, but the digital version of the album will be out September 27 via Bandcamp.
