After a slew of smaller releases from 2010 to present, Atlanta thrashers Sadistic Ritual will finally release a full-length album, Visionaire of Death, in June. To start things off, Decibel has an exclusive track of “Visionaire of Death,” the thrilling title track.
Tight, intricate riffs lead the listener toward galloping drums and barked, blackened vocals. Nostalgic and biting, “Visionaire of Death” is a fearsome thrash ripper.
“’Visionaire of Death’ opens the album, depicting a horrifying psychedelic trip that turns into a ritual of death,” explains guitarist/vocalist Charlie Southern. “The harrowing intro, blistering guitar assault and chaotic laughter not only propel the narrative, but also set the tone for the rest of the album. With a deep sense of foreboding, the listener becomes aware of that which might await.”
Visionaire of Death is out June 14 via Boris Records and Unspeakable Axe.
