The mention of members of Oranssi Pazuzu and Dark Buddha Rising in the same band is enough to catch one’s attention without ever hearing a note of music. That’s exactly what happened when Waste of Space Orchestra formed to perform a commissioned set at Roadburn in 2018. Altering wowing the audience, the black metal collective put the music to tape, which will see release as Syntheosis on April 5.
Today, Decibel has an exclusive stream of genre-defying new track “Wake Up the Possessor.” The dreamy, progressive black metal is enhanced with a psychedelic video that uses abstract patterns and bright colors to set the tone.
“‘Wake Up the Possessor’ introduces the one who seduces senses and corrupts minds,” Waste of Space Orchestra state. “Dismantle your psyche and let the poison run freely through your whole existence.
“Innocence drowning in filth. Transforming into a virus. Becoming a source to slow and painful death. This is I, The Possessor.”
