Watch Napalm Death’s Shane Embury Perform with Rap Group Gunshot on Live TV

Napalm Death circa 1994

Hip hop and heavy metal meeting is not a new idea. Anthrax and Public Enemy, Aerosmith and Run-DMC, The Notorious B.I.G. and Korn—there are dozens of collaborations if you look for them, ranging from excellent to… not so excellent. This gem Decibel recently found falls on the cooler end of the spectrum. Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury (second from left in the photo) appeared on British TV show The Beat sometime in the early ’90s to play guitar with hip-hop group Gunshot.

Gunshot are an underground hip-hop group formed in England in the late ’80s, who were active in varying capacities until 2000. They released “Sulphur,” their first single in almost two decades, last month.

The Beat was an English music TV show that aired from 1992-1994 and featured interviews, reviews and performances.
