Track Premiere: Morne – ‘To the Night Unknown’

July 11, 2018 Emily Bellino
Streaming, Track Premiere Doom Metal, Morne, Post Metal, premiere, Sludge Metal.

Morne are a sludgy post-metal group hailing from Boston, specializing in atmospheric-yet-crushing music. A strong sense of atmosphere permeates “To the Night Unknown,” the title track to Morne’s fourth full-length. Coming five years after 2013’s Shadows, To the Night Unknown features some of the band’s strongest writing to date. Complete with a master from Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, To the Night Unknown sounds top notch as well.

“It’s been five years since our last release and we are extremely proud of what we have accomplished with this new album,” guitarist/vocalist Milosz Gassan says. “I feel that there was a lot of room to breathe on this one and we didn’t feel imprisoned by anyone’s expectations.”

To the Night Unknown will be released September 7 on Armageddon Label.
