Watch: Sorxe – “Hypnotizer”

When Decibel premiered Sorxe‘s debut album, Matter & Void, in November, I wrote “Phoenix, Arizona’s Sorxe are into bands like Neurosis, Swans and Melvins, but they’re also into bands like Pink Floyd, and it shows on their second full-length effort.” Their brand of psyched-out sludge is unique and addictive, so it’s with great pleasure that we premiere their video for “Hypnotizer” below.

“There isn’t too much to say as we like to let the video speak for us, but our goal was to create a DIY performance video that puts emphasis on the players and also conveys a dark/paranoid vibe,” guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist Tanner Crace says. “The shattered mirror reflections came to me as a way to visually symbolize the lyrical content. We hope you enjoy! Also, many special thanks to Jason Cakebread for his hard work in helping us bring this visual representation of ‘Hypnotizer’ to life!”

Matter & Void is available now via Prosthetic.
