French black metal has always been unique, as output from acts like Alcest, Deathspell Omega and Blut Aus Nord has shown in the past. Abduction are no exception to that rule, combining dirges of blast beats and shrieked vocals with quieter, reflective passages as well as clean vocals interspersed throughout.
Their second album is called À L’heure Du Crépuscule, and the title track shows the band achieve an epic and thoroughly satisfying blend of those parts. You can listen to it below; the album will be released on March 23 through Finisterian Dead End.
