Phantom Carriage Announce Nuclear Blast Collab Plus Beers for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest

Collaboration brings us some of the best things life has to offer, which is why you’ll be able to try the brand new collaborative beer from renowned label Nuclear Blast and craft brewery Phantom Carriage. A black India pale lager called Blast Beast, named after Nuclear Blast’s mascot, the only chance you’ll have to sample this rare brew on the east coast is at Decibel Metal & Beer Fest!

“We are beyond excited to announce this collaboration as we have been fans of the music that Nuclear Blast puts out for many, many years,” Phantom Carriage Creative Director Tori Stiles says. “When this opportunity came up we were stoked to partner with them and develop a unique beer that is inspired by Germany’s Black Forest but is also approachable with West Coast influences.

“The Blast Beast will be an IPL built almost entirely off of Germany’s finest pilsner malt, and a small addition of some wheat. Although simple, this beast hits hard with heavy doses of El Dorado, Citra, and Amarillo throughout many of its stages. Fermented with a German lager yeast strain to round out this beer.”

“A mutual love for horror, metal and beer brought our teams together and it has been a rewarding experience to unite our passions and create what is the Black Beast Black IPL,” add Nuclear Blast’s Zel Romero.

In addition to Blast Beast, Phantom Carriage will also bring with them Broadacres, a Wild Berliner Weisse, “featuring bright, tart, and crisp acidity and highlights quenching notes of citrus flavors with a dry finish.”

You may also purchase a one- or two- day “Just Metal” ticket (limited to 500 each day) that grants you access to all four bars on the first floor, as well as the ability to see each band playing. You will also have the opportunity to purchase samples of featured breweries from the bar.

How much does it cost?
