December 1: Albums Out Today

Well, folks, we made it to the last month of the year and despite it being so late in the year, there are still a few awesome releases coming out. Let’s take a look at what’s out today:

SubRosa – Subdued Live at Roadburn 2017

SubRosa played two sets at Roadburn; one playing their excellent For This We Fought the Battle of Ages album, and another subdued, stripped down set. The latter has been captured for posterity on Subdued.

Morbid Angel – Kingdoms Disdained

There’s been plenty of talk about the reunited death metal kings, and their latest effort is now available. Guitarist Trey Azagthoth is reunited with bassist Steve Tucker for their tenth disc, proving Morbid Angel still have what it takes to release ferocious death metal.

Prurient – Rainbow Mirror

It’s going to take you a while to get through Rainbow Mirror. The latest from the experimental musician, Rainbow Mirror clocks in at three hours or seven LPs. The experimental record is the follow-up to Prurient’s acclaimed Frozen Niagra Falls.

The Faceless – In Becoming a Ghost

Though they’ve become notorious for their inability to show up to gigs and tours, tech death heavyweights The Faceless have returned with their fourth disc, In Becoming a Ghost. Led by mastermind Michael Keene, one can hope that In Becoming will be the start of a much-needed upward trajectory for The Faceless.
