Earlier this month, Decibel brought you new music from Vasilek, the dark ambient project of Tombs’ Mike Hill. While the three songs (including massive album closer “The Green Lady”) on The Dark Road lack a familiar structure including verse and chorus, Vasilek dredges up claustrophobic, dark textures, noises and soundscapes.
“Vasilek is what lies beyond the rigors and precision of what is done within the context of Tombs,” Hill explains. “The Dark Road is an intuitive exploration of the dark corners, the deep water and the entities that exist beyond words.”
