Get your sad mosh ready; Counterparts have released a music video for “Stranger” from their most recent album, 2015’s Tragedy Will Find Us.
The melodic hardcore outfit have made a name for themselves through their ability to craft intensely emotional (often sad) songs while still playing heavy music. It’s hard to say that Counterparts doesn’t achieve that when vocalist Brendan Murphy screams “I am a stranger when I stare into the eyes of those I love / Look away in disgust.”
“Hope you guys dig the ‘Stranger’ video. It’s a bit of an insane concept… a band playing and some b-roll footage cut in between,” Murphy says. “Crazy, I know. If you like what you hear, come catch us on tour with Parkway Drive and We Came as Romans this month! If you don’t like it then I guess we’ll try harder next time. Love you.”
