It’s been two years since their last release, but Berlin doom outfit Albez Duz have returned with a behemoth of a song. “Sacred Flame” is the first offering from Albez Duz’s upcoming Wings Of Tzinacan.
At nearly ten minutes long, “Sacred Flame” isn’t lacking in the length department. Albez Duz shows off moments of calm stillness standing in stark contrast to the thundering doom that the occult rockers also deliver on the song.
“Despite being a journey of a track at over 10 minutes long, ‘Sacred Flame’ was written almost entirely in one burst,” says guitarist Julia Neuman. “When we were in the studio recording, we all had goosebumps listening to Alfonso’s vocal takes. There was a haunting energy there that definitely comes across in the song.”
Wings of Tzinacan is due out October 28 in North America through Listenable Records, with preorders available here.
