Bay Area technical death metal outfit Inanimate Existence are just over two weeks out from the release of their new album, Calling From a Dream. Today, you can hear the second single from that album.
There are plenty of heavy riffs on “Pulse of the Mountain’s Heart,” but Inanimate Existence doesn’t shy away from seamlessly changing gears to beautiful clean moments at the right times.
“’Pulse of the Mountain’s Heart’ showcases Inanimate Existence’s approach to heavy riffing,” the band had to say about the new song. “The song structure evolves many times throughout, guiding listener through beautiful clean sections and into dark riffs layered with ethereal guitar leads.”
Calling From a Dream is Inanimate Existence’s third disc since their first in 2012. It hits the streets on September 16 on Unique Leader, with preorders available here.
Inanimate Existence will also be hitting the road for a slew of headlining dates on the west coast.
