Track Premiere: Dethbeds’ ‘Dungeon Scum’

Chicago’s Dethbeds are gearing up for the release of their new album, Dungeon Scum, and what better way to prepare than with a new song? The same metallic, frantic energy introduced on Dethbeds’ first single is what you can expect to hear on “Dungeon Scum” too.

The newcomers cite Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan as influences, and it’s easy to see why. Dungeon Scum will be released independently on October 14, with seven songs clocking in at seventeen minutes.

“The most recently written song on the album, ‘Dungeon Scum,’ provides contrast from our overall punk ethos to a more punishing and sophisticated writing style that reflects our combined influences,” says drummer Ray Knipe.

After you’ve listened to the explosive new song, Dungeon Scum is up for preorder on Dethbeds’ Bandcamp, digitally and on vinyl. The band will also be hitting the road for a handful of Midwest dates in late October and early November, which you can check out below.
