Bust out your biggest, darkest sunglasses and bullet belts for this one: black/death/war metallers Eggs of Gomorrh and Sarinvomit have joined forces for Encomium of Depraved Instincts, an eight-track split that strips away any window dressings for an efficient, brutal release.
Istanbul’s Sarinvomit start things off, offering lo-fi, cavernous rippers centered around galloping, thrashy riffs and vocalist Tyrannic Profanatör’s howls. Eggs of Gomorrh’s side of the split is noticeably heavier, drawing parallels to bands like Pissgrave and Revenge; each song is like a three-minute whirlwind of tremolo riffs and roared, incomprehensible vocals.
“The split with Sarinvomit originated from several festivals spent together that lead to numerous collaborations (Death Ritual, Horrocious),” Eggs of Gomorrh explain about the split’s conception. “We also played a show together in Istanbul, so we decided to honor this chapter by unleashing a common attack.”
