Track Premiere: Hypno5e – ‘A Backward Glance on Travel Road’

March 13, 2018 Albert Mudrian
News, Streaming, Track Premiere Hypno5e, pelagic, Post Metal, Who Wakes Up From This Dream Does Not Bear My Name.

Hypno5e may have the worst band name you’ve ever heard (and this is coming from a website that has jocked tracks from Blooming Carrions and Moenen of Xezbeth over the past few months), but the French post-metal pioneers more than atone for that transgression with some of the best epic soundscapes this side of the Ocean. Or, technically, that side of the ocean.

Anyway, the 11-minute”Who Wakes Up From This Dream Does Not Bear My Name” is a slow burn that uses an ample amount of its running time to truly unfold, but stick with it and your patience will be rewarded.

Hypno5e’s Alba – Les Ombres Errantes album is available April 6 on Pelagic. Pre-order here.
