It’s hard to argue with an album that starts off with four chugs and a pinch harmonic. This Friday, Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo Records will team up to release Spectral Realm of Ruin from Degraved. Hailing from that special corner of gloom we call Seattle, Degraved plays that special style of death metal that brings in doomy and cavernous atmosphere while still being unrelentingly brutal. By the way, the band shares a member with Cystic, who are also super rad, so go check them out too.

As the band’s Bandcamp profile says: “Degraved harnesses the ’90s death metal sound gloriously while mixing these classic elements in a furious manner that will have you hooked for the long haul. The further you descend into the graves with this record the more it sucks you in with its old-school charms and captivating displays of menacing hostility.” Decibel is thrilled to present this work of menacing hostility to you in full, streaming below.

Spectral Realm of Ruin comes out this Friday via Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo. You can find preorder information here.
