Greek black/death dealers Exilium Noctis are a more mature beast on Pactum Diaboli, the quartet’s second album coming later this week on Black Lion Records. By pushing their technical abilities forward while retaining a black metal atmosphere, Exilium Noctis have refined their sound to go along with the album’s theme, which focuses on the consequences of making deals with devils.
“Our upcoming album, ‘Pactum Diaboli,’ represents a major step forward for us, both musically and conceptually,” Exilium Noctis tell Decibel. “It explores the idea of making a pact with one’s own darkness, inspired by the legend of Faust but also by real human struggles.
“We’re honored to have Henri Sattler (God Dethroned) contributing guest vocals on the album’s title track, adding even more depth and power to its meaning.
“For us, Exilium Noctis is not just a band, it’s a way to face the shadows inside us and turn them into sound.”
