Video Premiere: Eclipser – ‘Coagulation’

Ottawa black/death crushers Eclipser have only been fully operational since 2017, but after workshopping their chops via a pair of demos — the less than adventurously titled Demo 2017 and Promo 2018, respectively — the band has the emerged with full-length debut Pathos. The record will see daylight come September 6 through Noise Salvation Records, but we have the first look via a video for the album’s second track, “Coagulation.”

“‘Coagulation’ is the most violent and gruesome track on the record,” guitarist/vocalist Ryan Menard tells Decibel. “It opens with some pretty gross feedback and just explodes into chaos with foul chord progressions and unnerving grooves over relentless blast beats. The vocals spew a brutal tale of achieving perfection through ingesting molten gold, and the abhorrent mutation that ensues. The video is a dark and barebones performance similar to what you might see at one of our shows. We chose ‘Coagulation’ as the single for the video because of the raw and ugly energy it emanates.”
