Track Premiere: Outsider — “Path You’ve Earned”

Flatspot Records has built a sterling rep for releasing some of the hardest, most inspired, potent hardcore around. (You didn’t sleep on those Mizery or Higher Power records, right?) And When Love Dies — the upcoming E.P. from Richmond, Virginia wrecking crew Outsider — will almost certainly only enhance the growing notoriety of label and band alike.

By way of proof we offer the below exclusive stream of “Path You’ve Earned,” the opening salvo from this five song collection of wild solos, feral riffage, and anything-but-antiseptic breakdowns that calls to mind early Integrity and Madball as well as (relatively) newer torch-bearing acts such as Rotting Out and Incendiary.

“We wrote a song about the inevitable end that we’re forcing on our planet,” Outsider’s Mac Romanosky tells Decibel. “Industrial culture and negligence will be our downfall. We couldn’t name the song ‘Apocalypse Now,’ though — for obvious reasons.”
