Finnish funeral doom masters Shape of Despair will play their first United States shows next month. On May 15, they’ll perform at Brooklyn Bazaar and at Atlas Brew Works in Washington, D.C. on May 16. Support on both of those dates comes from D.C. death/doom crushers Ilsa, who released their Corpse Fortress full-length last year.
Once they complete those two shows, Shape of Despair will head to Eternal Warfare Fest in Portland, OR for a single west coast date. Shape of Despair’s last album, Monotony Fields came out in 2015.
