New Project Documents Photos of Black Sabbath Fans for Museum Exhibition

Black Sabbath are the godfathers of heavy metal and they’re from Birmingham, so that makes the English city the home of metal, right? Such is the mission of Home of Metal, an organization dedicated to seizing and preserving the city’s history and influence on the genre. Home of Metal is currently seeking Black Sabbath fans to photograph for a larger exhibition that will come together next summer at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, in addition to a smaller project at Los Angeles art gallery Subliminal Projects.

The larger exhibit has a focus on Black Sabbath’s fans and the fifty-year legacy of the musical innovators, hence the call for bodies. If you’re interested in contributing to this exhibit, you should report to the Obey Company Store (17353 Derian Ave, Irvine, CA) on August 25 between 11am and 4pm.

For more information on the event, see the flyer at the top of the page. To know more about Home of Metal, check out their website. For more Ozzy, check out the latest issue of Decibel featuring a cover story on the heavy metal legend.
