Yards Announce Beers for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest

Decibel has had the honor of working with a multitude of the most metal breweries in the country—and world—for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, including our relationship with Yards Brewing. The Philadelphia-based featured brewery won’t just be pouring their established brews at the festival; Yards have collaborated with Philly heavy metal heroes Sumerlands for Haunted Forever, a black IPA.

Being a featured brewery, you’ll have the opportunity to taste four unique brews from Yards. Find out what they have on tap below.

Haunted Forever (Black IPA, 6.66% ABV)
Haunted Forever Black IPA was brewed in the starless void of the Philadelphia necropolis in collaboration with Sumerlands and Weyerbacher for the 2018 Decibel Beer and Metal Festival. Midnight wheat gives this beer its dark color while rye malts fill out the spine and add a bit of spice. Malevolently hopped with Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops and dry hopped with Amarillo, Azacca and Cascade, Haunted Forever has premonitions of pine, citrus and the most metal fruit of them all – mango. While this beer is limited, its sinister hop character will haunt you forever.

Brawler (English Mild, 4.2%)
The most approachable of our ales, Brawler is malt forward and delicately hopped for a knockout flavor. Its smooth character, hints of caramel and toast and remarkable drinkability define this ruby-colored brew as a knockout session ale.

IPA (American IPA, 7%)
Standing firmly on the east coast end of American IPAs, our India Pale Ale emphasizes balance. Traditional floor-malted English barley gives IPA its firm malt character while generous amounts of Chinook and Amarillo hops impart aromas of pine and tangerine for a perfectly balanced IPA.

Philadelphia Pale Ale (Pale Ale, 4.6%)
Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe all other ales pale in comparison to ours. Dry-hopped with an abundance of distinctive Simcoe hops, this straw-colored pale ale is more drinkable than bitter, more aromatic than aggressive. Philly Pale Ale, as it’s better known, is crisp, hoppy and bursting with citrus.
