Sure, Scorched‘s 2016 full-length, Echoes of Dismemberment was a rousing slab of death metal for devotees of Cannibal Corpse, Autopsy and the like, but you prefer their demos. We get it and, apparently, so does 20 Buck Spin. The label is preparing to issue Excavated for Evisceration, an LP that collects Scorched’s self-titled demo from 2015 and 2017 promo tape, Hymns from the Cellar.
If you haven’t been following Scorched, there’s no better time to start. After issuing their demo, the Delaware brutalizers issued a split with Putrisect, followed by an even more impressive four-way split with Sonoran death metal machine Gatecreeper, Philadelphia cult Outer Heaven and Ohio destruction crew Homewrecker.
Echoes of Dismemberment followed, and then came Hymns from the Cellar. After the aural trauma has subsided, prepare to do it again. 20 Buck Spin will be issuing Scorched’s second album later in 2018. Stay tuned on that and enjoy a full stream of Excavated for Evisceration now.
