In the event you missed it, Los Angeles-based outfit Witherfall released what’s undoubtedly the best prog/power metal debut of last year in the form of Nocturnes and Requiems. The band’s profile was recently heightened when it was announced that Witherfall singer Joseph Michael was chosen to pay tribute to the late Sanctuary/Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane as a live vocalists on Sanctuary’s farewell tribute tour. The trek, opening for Iced Earth, begins this month.
