As you know from last year, we’re committed to bringing nothing but the most metal craft breweries from around the country (and sometimes the world!) to Decibel Metal & Beer Fest. Today, we introduce you to DC Brau, who will be bringing their beers The Corruption and Brau Pils to the fest. Business Development Manager Kayleigh Tanthorey filled us in on what DC Brau have in store for us in the spring.
What is the most metal beer you’re bringing to Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, and what makes it so metal?
Basing it on the name alone it’s hard to get more metal than The Corruption… The Columbus hops of this Northwest style IPA shred the taste buds with 80 IBUs!
Can you give us a little background on the graphic/art for your beers? Who designed them and how do you think they represent your beers?
As the oldest production brewery in DC, we wanted our cans to symbolize our hometown. Boldly emblazoned with the US capital and an homage to the district’s original diamond shape, there is no mistaking that we are proud to be made (and canned) in DC.
Which fellow brewery are you most excited to try at dBMBF?
We’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate and become friends with so many of the other attending breweries it wouldn’t be possible to pick just one… we’re just stoked to see old friends, drink some awesome brews, and rock out to some metal!
