Track Premiere: Exalter – ‘Grip of Fear’

Exalter have made a name for themselves as one of the most prominent extreme metal acts in their home country of Bangladesh, releasing two EPs in 2015 and 2016 before readying their first full-length album, Persecution Automated, for release in the last days of 2017.

On new song “Grip of Fear,” Exalter’s sound is familiar, but doesn’t live in the past. Though they tread tried-and-true ground, the quality of their songwriting and production allows them to stand on even ground with their peers. Galloping guitars lead the charge while the rhythm section locks in, making it almost impossible not to bang your head.

“For our latest full length, Persecution Automated, we have tried to amass all the best guitar riffs and drum chops in our arsenal into a deadly 35 minutes thrash metal experience,” Exalter tell Decibel. “But these are not mere soundtracks for aiding head banging, we made it our job to accompany our music with incisive lyrics that don’t shy away from addressing topics that matter. The result, we hope, is a collection of songs that will challenge indifference and ultimately stay with the listeners.”

You can listen to “Grip of Fear” below and pre-order Persecution Automated through Transcending Obscurity before its December 28 release.
