Full Album Stream: Cadaveric Incubator – “Sermons of the Devouring Dead”

After forming in 2004 and releasing one insane demo and taking part in a split with two other underground death-grind acts the following year, Helsinki’s filthmongers Cadaveric Incubator then fell silent in 2007. The band remained dormant and obscure until 2014 when frontman Antti “Necroterror” Oinonen brought Cadaveric Incubator back from the dead. That same year saw the release of Unburied Abominations, and many of us have been eagerly anticipating this very moment ever since having the shit crushed out of us by the aforementioned demo compilation.

Like the early works of their countrymen Xysma, as well as bands like Mortician, Carcass, Blood, and Disgorge (Mex), Cadaveric Incubator play foul and relentlessly grinding death metal. Their debut full length Sermons of the Devouring Dead perfectly exemplifies their sound with twelve tracks of bludgeoning, disemboweling, straight up traumatizing, putrid brutality.

So it is our sick pleasure to bring you today a stream of Sermons of the Devouring Dead in its disgusting entirety.

“Like our label fittingly put it: this is death metal for death metal maniacs, by death metal maniacs.[Sermons of the Devouring Dead] is our most sincere middle finger to any modern and fashionable shit labeled as death metal nowadays. Not old school for the sake of old school, but because it’s the only ‘school’ we know. Simply put, the kind of record we would want to hear ourselves so we had to make one.”

Available this Friday, October 13th from Hells Headbangers.
