Memoriam (ex-Bolt Thrower/Benediction) Unveil New Track “Surrounded (by Death)” Via Decibel Flexi Series!

Surely you’ve heard that British death metal war dogs Bolt Thrower announced their final battle had been waged earlier this week. The band had been on indefinite hiatus, mourning last year’s sudden tragic death of drummer Martin “Kidde” Kearns last year, but made the announcement Wednesday that they are officially splitting up.

The original unscheduled time out in the band’s schedule is partially what let to the formation of Memoriam—the extreme metal armored tank featuring now-former Bolt Thrower vocalist Karl Willetts, Benediction/Sacrilege southpaw Frank Healy, Benediction live guitarist Scott Fairfax and ex-Bolt Thrower drummer Andy Whale—this past January.

With a 7-inch, “The Hellfire Demos,” already in the books, the band heads into the studio tomorrow to record their debut full-length LP for Nuclear Blast Records. It’s due out until February 2017, but Decibel couldn’t wait that long, so we’re adding Memoriam as 71st disc in the vaunted Decibel Flexi Series.

This demo recording of new track “Surrounded (by Death),” which will surely appeal to fans of both BT and Benediction, is now streaming below. Bolt Thrower may forever rest in peace, but the war rages on with Memoriam!

Deluxe Decibel subscribers will receive our November issue containing the Memoriam flexi over the next few weeks, but if you still wanna score one, we have an EXTREMELY LIMITED number available with the issue in our webstore here
