Mexico City modern metallers Red Sands released their new six-track EP, Evocations, back in January. Today they reveal this video is for the track, “System,” a song the band say is at the heart of the recent release.

“‘System’ is a song to denounce the corruption of our politicians, the hypocrisy of the clergy, and the environmental catastrophe caused by rapacious corporations,” the band say about the song. “Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, the Four Horsemen, morphed into evil political, religious, and economic powers that have shaped our lives in recent years.”

Formed in Mexico City in 2012 when brothers Daniel and Eric Novelo joined forces with their cousin Juan Carlos León, Red Sands play a unique blend of classic and metal metal. Produced by Daniel Novelo and featuring contributions from acclaimed engineers and guest artists, Evocations also includes artwork created by vocalist and visual artist Jonathan Corral.

Red Sands are:

  • Jonathan “Jona” Corral – Vocals
  • Daniel Novelo – Rhythm & Lead Guitar
  • Eric Novelo – Bass
  • Juan Carlos “CJ” León – Piano & Keyboards
  • Ángel Asiain – Drums
