The highly-anticipated debut record from Texas death revelers Malignant Altar is finally available for pre-order on wax, and Decibel is incipiently excited to offer our own hyper-limited variant on bone-rattling white vinyl. First emerging early last-month as a Decibel full-album stream, Realms of Exquisite Morbidity sees the Houston harbingers churning out a six-pack of low-tuned putrefaction, anchored-in-muck by the title track, a “suitably spectral interluding instrumental.”
Limited to a scarce 198 copies on white vinyl, with only a mere 100 being made available in the U.S. via the Decibel store, this recherché recording comes packaged with printed inner sleeve, digital download card, and acerbic cover art from Lucas Korte (Shoggoth Kinetics). The album was once again recorded and mixed by drummer Dobber Beverly (Oceans of Slumber), with the auspicious Arthur Rizk on mastering duties.
