COVID-19 Safety Protocol for Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly

Please read the following for important COVID-19 safety updates to Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly, taking place at The Fillmore on September 25-26. In the interest of safety for all participants—and at the recommendation of both public health officials and the performing artists—entrance to the festival will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the event. We feel that this is the safest—and only way—that we are comfortable moving forward with the event. More details are available at as well as below.

Additionally, in accordance with current Philadelphia guidelines, masks will also be required at all times for attendees, regardless of vaccination status, except while actively eating or drinking. We are working with The Fillmore, as well as local and state officials and in accordance with CDC guidelines, to develop all aspects of how this will work, including adding additional outdoor space and more room for attendees and breweries. Keep an eye out for updates, we have some exciting things planned for everyone joining us.

FAQS: Please read ALL of the following before you hit the comments.

– If you wish to provide a negative COVID-19 test for entry, the test must be administered by a clinician (i.e. urgent care, drug store, etc.) and match the name on your ID. At-home tests will NOT be accepted.

– We are also strongly encouraging attendees to bring a printed copy of their vaccine card (photocopy is fine) to expedite the entry process. We want this to be the best Metal & Beer Fest yet, and we’re asking you to do your part to ensure everyone—the bands, breweries, vendors and fans—can party in the safest manner possible.

– Don’t like it? Don’t come! Someone will surely take your ticket off your hands, as this event is long sold out. For everyone else: We appreciate you taking these precautions seriously, believe it or not your health and safety is very important to us (until you choose to enter the Deadguy pit, then you’re on your own).
