From rare demos, covers, re-recordings of classic tracks and even the odd live number, the Decibel Flexi Series has been home to many a rare gem and one-off in its now decade-long run. But this month marks the first time ever that an artist has recorded a studio version of a track that previously only appeared on a live album. Hardcore heroes Earth Crisis originally dropped “Smash or Be Smashed” on their crushing 1998 live LP, The Oath That Keeps Me Free, but the song was never tracked in a proper studio… until now! Finally, this classic rager from Syracuse’s finest is available via the Decibel Flexi Series.
You can jam our 125th entry in the series below and then head off to the dB store where we have an extremely limited amount of the issues containing the Earth Crisis flexi available. Cheers to everyone who has supported the Decibel Flexi Series over these past 10 years and here’s to decades more floppy awesomeness!
