“We had recorded this during our last full-length with high hopes, but it was too long and boring. After a while we pulled it back out, replaced the first half with noise and got what we wanted. The moral here is replace boring music with noise.”
So says Great Falls bassist (and, full disclosure, looooooongtime Decibel contributor, nu metal semi-apologist and all-around danger to himself) Shane Mehling about his band’s side of a new split EP with fellow Northwest noise-makers Throes. The limited edition pressing 7-inch (200 on transparent red, 200 on transparent orange — though, colors are subject to change), is due out on Dropping Bombs next month, but you can get a first listen of the two new Thrones crushers as well as new Great Falls material (though those lazy jerks could only be bothered to contribute one new song!) below.
